Available Print Sizes
A4 Sublimation Sheet
Size: 210 × 297 mm
An A4 sublimation sheet can contain one larger design or several smaller designs arranged together.
It is ideal for:
- Coasters
- Keyrings
- Clothing designs
- Tote bags
- Cushion panels
- Photo gifts
- Small signs
- Product batches
- Mixed sublimation designs
The exact number of designs that will fit depends on their individual dimensions and the spacing between them.
Sublimation Mug Wrap
Size: 240 × 100 mm
Our mug wrap option is prepared for many standard straight sided 10 oz and 11 oz sublimation mugs.
Always check the printable area recommended by your mug supplier before ordering, as mug sizes and coatings can vary.
Mirrored and Ready to Press
All sublimation prints are supplied mirrored and ready to press.
Your design will look reversed on the transfer paper. This is correct. It will appear the right way round after it has been heat pressed onto the sublimation blank.
You do not need to mirror the artwork before uploading it.
Upload your design in its normal readable direction and we will prepare it for sublimation printing.
Upload a Single Design or Create a Gang Sheet
You can upload one design at your required size or combine multiple designs within an A4 print area.
A sublimation gang sheet is useful for:
- Multiple mug designs
- Small product batches
- Different customer names
- Business logo sets
- Matching gift collections
- Several copies of one design
- Mixed artwork and sizes
- Craft and reseller orders
Arrange the artwork carefully to make the most of the available print area.
Please leave enough room around each design so it can be cut apart before pressing.
Artwork Requirements
For the best print result, upload:
- High resolution artwork
- Designs prepared at the required print size
- Clear images with sharp details
- Text that remains readable at the selected size
- Artwork at approximately 300 DPI where possible
- Completed designs with the correct spelling and layout
Avoid uploading:
- Screenshots
- Blurred or pixelated images
- Images downloaded from social media
- Artwork enlarged far beyond its original size
- Hidden layers or unwanted objects
- Designs containing spelling errors
Transparent background artwork or plain white background is recommended when you do not want a background printed.
You can also upload completed rectangular artwork when a full background is part of your intended design.
We print from the artwork supplied, so please check the image quality, spelling, dimensions and complete layout before ordering.
Compatible Sublimation Blanks
These prints must be applied to products that have been manufactured or coated for sublimation.
Suitable products can include:
- Polyester clothing
- Polyester fabric panels
- Sublimation mugs
- Sublimation coasters
- Sublimation keyrings
- Coated metal panels
- Photo panels
- Sublimation tote bags
- Cushion covers
- Mouse mats
- Sublimation ornaments
- Other polymer coated blanks
Always check that the product is specifically sold as a sublimation blank before pressing it.
Standard uncoated mugs, ordinary ceramic items and untreated hard surfaces will not produce the intended result.
Fabric Requirements
Traditional sublimation works best on white or light coloured polyester fabric.
The higher the polyester content, the stronger and more vibrant the transferred colour will normally appear.
Results on lower polyester blends may look deliberately faded or vintage. Traditional sublimation prints are not recommended for ordinary cotton garments.
For cotton, dark clothing and general garment printing, order our custom DTF transfers instead.
No White Ink
Sublimation printing does not include white ink.
Any white areas within your design will take on the colour of the blank underneath.
For example:
- White artwork areas will remain white on a white mug
- White artwork areas may show the fabric colour on a coloured garment
- Colours may become less visible on dark products
White or very light coloured sublimation blanks normally provide the clearest and brightest result.

Colour Information
A sublimation print may initially look lighter or duller on the transfer paper.
The colours develop during the heat pressing process and should become brighter when correctly applied to a compatible blank.
Printed colours may still differ slightly from how they appear on a phone, tablet or computer screen.
Screens display colour using light, while sublimation products are created using printed inks, heat and the surface colour of the blank.
Exact screen to print colour matching cannot be guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will I receive?
You will receive a printed sublimation transfer on specialist paper. The finished product or sublimation blank is not included.
Are the designs supplied mirrored?
Yes. All artwork is printed mirrored and ready to press.
Should I mirror my artwork before uploading it?
No. Upload the artwork in its normal readable direction. We will mirror it before printing.
Which sizes are available?
Choose from an A4 sheet measuring 210 × 297 mm or a mug wrap measuring 240 × 100 mm.
Can I put several designs on one A4 sheet?
Yes. You can arrange multiple designs within the available A4 print area.
Can I upload different designs on the same sheet?
Yes. You can combine different designs, names, sizes and quantities on one A4 sheet.
Does the transfer come already cut?
The designs are supplied together on the printed sheet. Cut the individual transfers apart before pressing.
Do I need a heat press?
Yes. A suitable heat press or mug press is required to transfer the design correctly.
Can I use a household iron?
A household iron is not recommended because it may not provide consistent heat and pressure across the complete design.
Can I use these transfers on cotton?
Traditional sublimation does not work properly on ordinary cotton. Use a polyester sublimation garment or choose DTF transfers for cotton clothing.
Can I use sublimation on dark fabric?
Sublimation does not print white ink and is best suited to white or light coloured products. Designs may be difficult or impossible to see on dark fabric.
Can I use the print on an ordinary mug?
The mug must have a suitable sublimation coating. An ordinary uncoated ceramic mug will not produce the intended result.
What heat press settings should I use?
Follow the time, temperature and pressure instructions provided by the manufacturer of your sublimation blank. Settings vary considerably between different products.
Why does my print look faded on the paper?
Sublimation prints often appear lighter before pressing. The colours develop when the print is transferred using heat and pressure.
Are mug wraps always exactly the same size?
No. Different mug brands and styles can have different printable areas. Our 240 × 100 mm wrap suits many standard straight sided mugs, but you should check your blank before ordering.
