Description

Create professional custom window clings for promoting your business, advertising an event or adding temporary branding to glass windows and doors.

Your artwork is printed in full colour using eco solvent inks and finished with an opaque white backing. The cling is designed to be applied to the inside of the glass and viewed from outside, helping protect the printed design from direct handling and outdoor exposure.

Static window cling uses no permanent adhesive. It grips smooth glass using static, allowing it to be removed and repositioned without leaving sticky glue behind.

Designed for Inside Application

These window clings are applied to the inside surface of the glass and viewed from outside.

Your design is prepared so that it appears the correct way round when viewed through the window.

Inside application is ideal for:

  • Shop windows
  • Business entrances
  • Office windows
  • Salon and café windows
  • Event venues
  • Community buildings
  • Collection points
  • Temporary promotions

Applying the cling inside the window helps protect it from rain, wind and direct outdoor handling.

White Backed Finish

Each cling has a white backing behind the printed design.

The white layer helps:

  • Keep colours bright and clear
  • Make text easier to read
  • Prevent the design disappearing into the background
  • Provide a more solid appearance than a transparent cling
  • Improve visibility on busy or dark windows

These clings are not designed to be transparent or see through.

Ideal for Temporary Window Signage

Custom window clings are suitable for:

  • Opening hours
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Sale announcements
  • Event advertising
  • Business logos
  • QR codes
  • Temporary notices
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Product launches
  • Christmas window displays
  • Appointment information
  • Social media details

They are especially useful when you need a window graphic that can be removed or changed without applying permanent adhesive vinyl.

Available Print Sizes

Choose from the following print areas:

46 cm × 50 cm

Suitable for smaller window notices, logos, opening hours and promotional messages.

46 cm × 1 m

Ideal for medium sized window displays or several designs arranged within one print area.

46 cm × 2 m

Suitable for larger promotions, multiple window graphics and business display sets.

The number and size of designs that fit within each print area will depend on your artwork and layout.

Uploading Your Artwork

Upload your completed artwork or arrange several designs within your selected print area.

For the best print quality, please supply:

  • High resolution artwork
  • Images prepared at the required print size
  • Clear and readable text
  • Artwork at approximately 300 DPI where possible
  • PNG, PDF or other suitable print ready files
  • Correct spelling, dates and contact details

Please avoid:

  • Small or blurred images
  • Screenshots
  • Low resolution logos
  • Very thin text
  • Important details close to the edge
  • Hidden layers or clipping masks
  • Unwanted backgrounds

We print from the artwork supplied, so please check the complete design carefully before ordering.

Artwork Direction

Upload your artwork in its normal readable direction unless you have been specifically asked to supply it mirrored.

The design will be prepared for inside window application so it reads correctly when viewed from outside.

Please contact us before ordering if your artwork contains directional elements and you are unsure how it should be supplied.

How to Apply Your Window Cling

For the best result:

  1. Clean the inside of the window thoroughly.
  2. Remove dust, grease and cleaning residue.
  3. Allow the glass to dry completely.
  4. Position the cling against the inside of the window.
  5. Start at one edge and smooth it onto the glass.
  6. Work slowly across the design to reduce trapped air.
  7. Use a clean squeegee or soft cloth to smooth the complete surface.
  8. Check the design from outside before finishing.

A light mist of clean water may help with the positioning of larger clings. Remove excess moisture and allow the cling to dry flat against the glass.

Suitable Surfaces

Window cling works best on:

  • Clean glass
  • Smooth windows
  • Smooth glass doors
  • Flat glazed panels
  • Mirrors

It may not grip properly to:

  • Textured glass
  • Frosted glass
  • Dirty or greasy windows
  • Uneven surfaces
  • Plastic sheeting
  • Porous surfaces
  • Damp glass
  • Heavily curved surfaces

Surface condition can affect how well the cling holds.

Removing and Repositioning

To remove the cling, gently lift one corner and slowly peel it away from the glass.

Because the material does not use permanent adhesive, it should not leave sticky glue residue when removed from a suitable clean glass surface.

Take care not to stretch, fold or crease the cling during removal.

Storing Window Clings

Window clings may be reusable when they are removed and stored carefully.

To store a cling:

  • Keep it clean and dry
  • Replace it onto its original backing where possible
  • Store it flat
  • Avoid folding or creasing
  • Keep it away from dust and excessive heat
  • Do not allow the static side to become dirty

Repeated handling, dust and creasing may reduce its ability to cling securely.

Colour Information

Printed colours can appear slightly different from the colours displayed on a phone, tablet or computer monitor.

Screens display colour using light, while the finished window cling is physically printed using ink. Exact screen to print colour matching cannot be guaranteed.

For business branding where colour accuracy is important, please provide suitable print ready artwork and contact us before ordering.

No permanent adhesive is used. The material grips smooth glass using static.

Will it leave sticky residue?

It should not leave adhesive residue when removed carefully from clean, smooth glass.

Is the cling transparent?

Can I reposition it?

Yes. It can usually be carefully lifted and repositioned during application, provided the glass and cling remain clean.
